Digital Trust Score

The Digital Trust Score is a numerical value indicating the relative cyber risk profile for a given service provider.

Based on a series of uniquely customized and validated questions, Venseca’s patent-pending technology solution performs a deep analysis and assessment of each of your cybersecurity components, and then generates a comprehensive report. Organizations can then review a high-level summary of their third-party providers, with the option to dive deeper into a library of supporting documentation to ensure their organizational risk tolerance is supported.

Some of the components included in the Digital Trust Score are:

Vendor Risk Assessments

Organizations traditionally manage their third-party risk through a handful of platforms, internally-developed toolsets, and various, sometimes disparate data collection methodologies. Each is designed to meet the needs of the organization, however they often lack the standardization required to efficiently collect the necessary information.

Enter Venseca. Our platform generates efficiency by working on behalf of our participating organizations to collect, analyze and report on all required cyber-related information provided directly to Venseca by a supplier. This independent evaluation and corresponding Digital Trust Score are then provided to participating organizations through their Venseca dashboard, and/or loaded into their existing TPRM toolset…

Venseca streamlines digital trust management by placing the burden of the vendor risk assessment on the service provider, rather than the organization. The vendor purchases their risk assessment (including their Digital Trust Rating) directly from Venseca, who includes the VRA in a library accessible to organizations. This independent assessment is rapidly becoming a required step in several organizations’ RFP and procurement processes.

The Venseca process takes as input validated reports and assessments from each participating vendor and analyzes those inputs, combining that data into a simple, streamlined report.  Saving buyers from the laborious task of reviewing the full collection of security risk-related documentation provided by a vendor, the VRA optimizes a vendor’s sales process, while providing the buyer with the confidence needed to make a purchasing decision.

Collected information for each supplier includes over 80 data inputs, including such components as: validated risk assessment questionnaires (HECVAT, HIMSS, HIPPA, CAIQ, etc.), CMMC reports, SOC2 Type 2 reports, internal security standard documentation (AUPs, Access Control Standards, Encryption Standards, Operations and Personnel Security Requirements, Vulnerability Management Processes, Business Continuity Documentation, etc.), Penetration Testing information, and Cybersecurity Training Programs.

Custom Dashboards

Historically, vendors have been forced to work with each of their clients individually to address any questions or concerns about their cyber risk profile.  This “many-to-many” relationship resulted in process inefficiency, longer than necessary sales cycles, and uninformed purchasing decisions. The Venseca platform provides organizations with immediate access to their suppliers’ risk assessments, reducing the friction while simultaneously providing a standardized, independently validated, supplier review.

Venseca Dashboards provide immediate access to all available risk assessments within a subscriber’s industry. Accessing information on existing or potential service providers is a streamlined process, allowing subscribers to find suppliers by name or category.  Looking for a new ERP? Simply select the type of service you are seeking to be presented with a complete list of independently validated providers.

On the dashboard landing page, you are presented with industry relevant news, newly added risk assessments, and a portal to select those suppliers with whom your organization works, allowing for clean, clear understanding of your overall third-party risk profile.

Cyber Liability Assessment

Working in partnership with BSI (a leading provider of digital trust remediation and legal solutions), Venseca has created the Digital Trust Ecosystem. This carefully designed environment provides organizations with both point-in-time and real-time access to cyber risk information about their suppliers.

The Digital Trust Ecosystem aggregates data from Venseca’s Vendor Risk Assessment Process, as well as real-time monitoring services to provide insurance carriers with up-to-date information on the cyber risk posture of their clients.

These “cyber telematics” allow carriers to understand the cyber risk posture of their clients more fully, resulting in more customized and accurate liability insurance premiums. Additionally, BSI’s digital trust solutions provide the insured with immediate access to those tools and fixes to ensure they remain protected throughout the term of their coverage.
